The City of Surprise is featuring local photographers with Through the Lens: An Exhibition of Photography.  

The exhibit will be juried by Surprise Arts & Cultural Advisory Commission members. "The purpose of the Arts and Cultural Advisory Commission is to encourage cultural growth in the city and to ensure that art, culture, and entertainment are central elements of the quality of life for city residents...The commission also recommends to council the selection and commissioning of artists with respect to design, execution, and placement of works of art for which appropriations have been made."

• There is no focus on content, the only requirement is that it is photography medium.

• Submit up to three entries for consideration.

• The art call is open to all West Valley residents.

• All photographs must be framed and properly wired for hanging.

If you would prefer to submit in-person, please bring photos to Arts HQ Wednesday

through Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. The deadline for submission is August 6th, 2018
